Lookman- crap penalty but very good player.

I’ve been impressed with Lookman all season. He is skilled, hard working and dangerous. I would take him tomorrow.

Lucky for us his ego meant he tried to do a Penenka in the 5th minute of injury time...by all means try that if you're 3-0 up but otherwise put your laces through it...or at least don't be a silly bugger.

He has skills and is impressive at times but he does seem to be stubborn and headstrong...not sure if he has the positive arrogance that a player needs to thrive...it seems the negative kind.

Strange, that’s exactly when Panenka did do it, the winning penalty in a shoot out in the European Championship final.

Prob more on it than West Ham v Fulham.

PDC did that against van der sar at loftus rd. Sure it was late in the game because everyone went mental.

He's direct, quick and selfish. Makes things happen and will trouble defenders. He does often go for goal when a simple pass puts it on a plate for his team mate. The fluffed penalty shows the arrogance and high opinion of himself. He could mature into a very good player though. One to watch.

The pen was poor, if executed correctly is good.

The issue with those penalties, especially at that point in the game is it shows the utter arrogance of the player.


Arrogance can be good to the proper degree, but that was pure selfishness and putting self ahead of the team.

I can’t think of anyone in our team who would be selfish enough to do that.

Terrible effort that Panenka - had he got it remotely right and had the ball hit the top 3rd of the goal from a height perspective he'd have scored.

Decent player but clearly put his ego before getting his team a valuable point. Imagine if Roy Keane had been in the Fulham midfield? I doubt he’d have made it back to the dressing room. Still, great for us that he acted like such a prick

Thought we contained him fairly well without too much effort. He's the sort of player that looks.like he should be really good but somehow isn't. Not much in the way of end product. Clearly a little cunt also.

We also dodged an expensive bullet with Cairney who looks like an extremely average player. And diving cunt.

He is a talented player and the only one who looks like creating anything for Fulham
Have always thought Cairney as 'just ok' and they were asking more than the price of Soucek as i recall

Robinson was the Wigan full back that we looked at for a million or so wasnt it?
Looks ok & maybe worth monitoring when/if Fulham go.
Certainly looked better than the Norwich full backs that everyone went on a wankathon over after they conceded a squillion goals

Lookman did a Panenka against Brazil in the under 21s, went a bit better then. I'd like to know what the conversion rate is for them, can't imagine any coach being happy with seeing them taken, successful not not.

Far too risky and if you miss you look an absolute cunt as seen.
If he'd taken it properly noone would crucify him if he put it over or Fab saved it.
DiCanio did one in the last min (I think) to wrap up a 4-1 win v Man City almost exactly 20 years ago (Nov 11 2000)
Thats about the limit of when one should be attempted.
